Our Rembrandt is not related to the painter of the Dutch Golden Age, but he’s definitely a masterpiece. Resplendent in flawless caramel tones and rich detail, he exhibits strong chi and terrier influences. Also: He’s cute as a button and indiscriminately affectionate. He’s going to sit in the lap of the next person he sees, make them feel like a pop star, and revel in the scritches that follow. And then he’s going to do it again. He likes dogs too. He may also paint self-portraits using chiaroscuro to astonishing effect. We’re not sure. Adopt him and find out!

Notes from his foster:

He is definitely fine being left home alone. He barked for a few minutes when I first left him but then settled down. He is a total velcro dog He LOVES snuggles, scratches, and sleeping next to you. He literally follows me from room to room around the house and prefers to be sitting as close as possible to you (a big plus if he is also getting pets/scratches).

He would have preferred to sit on my lap while I work, but finally settled for the dog bed at my feet. He also enjoys walks and being outside – he even gets the zoomies off leash in our backyard in the sun. He and my other senior dog co-exist very well, Rembrandt has tried to play with him but it hasn’t been reciprocated quite yet .

He is a great eater and definitely likes to sniff out treats and other yummies. He hasn’t had any ‘accidents’ in the house. Overall he has been a true joy in our home and I am in utter shock he hasn’t been scooped up yet!!
