If you’re wondering why Reggie the handsome chi-beagle is acting like he won the lottery, it’s because he did. Abandoned in McLaren Park, he was discovered by a caring stranger in the middle of an icy downpour. Now that he is warm, safe and no longer hungry, he’s beyond thrilled to be alive and well and surrounded by friendly dogs and people. Keep this in mind when he suggests the one-millionth hug and scratch behind his tiny ears. He’s a sleek handsome lad; clearly a charter member of the Order of the Velvet Snout. He wobbles a bit when he walks, and he doesn’t do stairs, but he’s fine with a trot, jaunt or slow vinyasa flow. If you desire a pup who appreciates life with role-model intensity, he is here for you. Wagging.

Here’s some notes from his foster:

Reggie is 8 years young, 29 lbs, and 100% pure love! This cuddle bug is as chill as they come—his favorite activities include snoozing, getting head scratches, and being the best little shadow you could ask for. He’s wonderfully polite, potty trained, and gets along great with other dogs.

Reggie has some mobility challenges, but don’t tell him that—he doesn’t let anything slow him down! He gets around short distances just fine and is learning to use his wheelchair like a champ for longer walks. He loves to explore, sniff around the yard, and, of course, enjoy some tasty treats.

Reggie is quiet, low-maintenance, and full of love. He’s looking for a forever home where he can relax, be adored, and remind you every day how special senior dogs truly are. If you’re looking for an easygoing, affectionate, and all-around amazing companion, Reggie is your guy!
