Ref is a senior sweetheart who is here to call all of the shots. Dubbed the Prince of Playtime, Ref can often be found playfully engaging with the other mutts, often with rules of his own devising. As the Ref, the rules, as well as what constitutes a win or a loss, fit squarely in his wheelhouse and can be variable depending on his moods as well as on who is holding the most treats. Yes, that’s right, you might be able to bribe this Ref with a tasty tidbit or a bit of a snuggle, but remember – you can always be outbid. Ref is the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet! He warms up to people almost instantly, everyone who meets him falls for him fast. He’s also a total cuddle bug: he’ll get as close to you as he possibly can and melt into any pets you’re willing to give.
He’s also very easy to live with. Ref is fully house-trained, he lets you know with a little whine when he needs to go out, and he’s never had an accident in the house. He’s not really into toys, but he doesn’t need them to entertain himself — watching him roll around and flop onto his back is half the fun of having him around.
