Meet Ray Ray, the delightful Dachshund mix, cute in every way and cuter every day! With eyebrows that raise a smile and whiskers adding to his style, Ray Ray’s ears flap in the breeze while his tail wags with such ease. He’s a social butterfly, eager to meet all people, it’s no wonder his charm never ends! Ray Ray’s the name, making hearts sway, he’s our ray of sunshine, come what may. I’ve enjoyed little Ray Ray’s company for a few days and what a joy he’s been.
- House trained?…check!
- Sleeps through the night?…check!
- Walks well on leash?…check!
Ray Ray’s personality is a wonderful mix: affectionate yet independent, gentle yet playful. He loves snoozing on his back while listening to jazz and cuddling up against you on the couch.
So far, he’s had no issues adjusting to a new environment. He is completely unbothered by new noises and objects. He chills quietly when left alone and sleeps soundly through the night until around 8 am. He has done well in the car and on Muni.
Ray Ray also enjoys playing fetch, chewing on squeaky toys, and going for walks.
Some things that Ray ray enjoys:
Savory foods, peanut butter, cheese, Belly rubs and head rubs, chews, playing fetch, Saying hello to people, Car rides, and Sleeping in until 8 or 9 am.
Ray Ray now happily gobbles up his food without the need for a topper of chicken. I’ve given him his meds in his food, cheese, or chicken with no issues.
He doesn’t love it when I leave but I have left him alone for three hours and when I come home he is happily sleeping. Did great on a couple of hour-long walks and he did fine mingling with other dogs at HQ and on walks, but will vocalize if he sees other dogs while he is on leash and we are sitting still (i.e., outdoor dining situations)
