Sweet little Quilt is a patchwork of fluff, lace and downy fur. Shy at first, she’s quick to warm up, draping herself on a lap, under a crossed leg or beside a throw pillow to offer and receive cushy comfort on the couch of your choice. When not cuddling, she’s bouncing, exploring or socializing with other dogs. She’s a gentle Yorkie multitasker with all the right stuff ready to be an affectionate heirloom in your loving home.
Here’s some notes from her foster:
Quilt is the sweetest doggo you’ll ever meet. Despite only having one eye, she doesn’t let that slow her down. She’s got pep in her step whether she’s jotting around the house or going on a walk.
We are figuring out her potty schedule, but for now we’ve put pee pads down and she knows to go on them.
She loves a walk around the block and often stops to check out every entryway/door we pass as if waiting to greet whoever is there. She loves making friends with older women along the way (maybe a throw back to her previous owner?). She will sometimes give a single bark to bigger or male dogs but that’s just because she’s trying to show them how tough she is!
She loves to cuddle on the couch and will make sure the blanket is justttt right before settling in. She loves to be on the other end of the couch or across the room. When she curls up, she always puts her back to us which I think means she trusts us!
She loves any type of attention and cuddles, and will sometimes offer up her belly for a scratch. When you leave the room, she’ll likely follow you around to make sure you haven’t left! When we go out for a couple hours, she’s always waiting for us at the door. During the work day, we’ll move her bed next to our desk so she can rest next to us.
She is super easy going, a lovely companion, and will fit into any quieter lifestyle and home very easily. (By the way, we call her by her previous name “Minty” since she responds well to it!)
