But Quill’s beauty is more than just fur and eyeballs deep — she’s also friendly, sweet, and gets along great with other dogs. Quill is a lovely lady that appears to be unsure at first sight but, once she’s given some time to settle, she eases into a home in no time! Quill is very food motivated and will even attempt to mimic a dolphin to get a taste of human food. She enjoys our company and spends as much time as possible with one paw on one of us at all times.
Quill is a fan of playtime and especially loves balls or round toys to chase after. She is quite agile and can clear a flight of stairs no problem, as well as perch on the cushion of our couch! In the evenings, she prefers snoozing in the comfort of our bed and won’t get up until we do. She does just fine with our cats – they try to stay out of each other’s way as much as possible and are fine sharing our bed!
We are working on building Quill’s confidence to leave the home and go on walks. She initially only wanted to go out for quick potty breaks and get home as fast as possible. Today, she took her first big walk with both of us and went for a few blocks! We can’t wait for a wonderful and patient family for Quill to call her forever home!
