Provincetown is a creamy, 9-pound terrier with the heart of a lion and the charm of a seasoned traveler. At around 13 years young, he’s the kind of guy who makes you believe in second acts and seaside magic. He is light enough to carry, impossible not to love, and always ready for the next adventure. He’s endlessly adaptable, bursting with affection, and great with other dogs, whether he’s making friends in the neighborhood, cozying up in a new cottage, or cruising Commercial Street in a canvas tote. At home, you’ll likely find him curled up in a sunny spot, soaking in the good life. Provincetown is ready for a fresh chapter, and with the right encouragement and a little grace, he’ll blossom into your loyal, loving senior companion…a tiny bundle of hope and heart, ready to bring joy wherever he lands.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Provincetown -( I call him Ptown) has been with me only 24 hrs and is beginning to learn the lay of the land. This morning he figured out where the couch is located and from there quietly snoozed while I taught an hour long ballet class on zoom.
All you have to do is call him or whistle and his tail is wagging. He will try to find you and will be so happy when you gently touch him and pick him up. Ptown just wants to be by your side.
Ptown might be blind but with the way he adapts quickly to his environment and settles in we joke that he’s only blind 1/2 the time bc he keeps getting on and off the bed on his own. He still acts so much like a dog that his vision impairment hasn’t stopped this little guy from being a dog.
We did take a road trip to Sonoma today. He did great in the car with a bed! He was a lovely gentleman at our hosts house and thoroughly enjoyed the back yard!
He’s is SOOOOOOOOO cuddly and sweet with people and will never pass up an opportunity for a snuggle.
He plays with toys when he’s really excited, he does the parrot move onto your shoulder and kisses me when I come home.
He even does a happy dance when he hears the dog food bowls coming out and he knows food is on the way!
Caring for and watching this sweet blind dog navigate the world – is touching. I’m glad he has made it this far – now he’s just waiting for the right person to come along who is willing to guard a little blind angel.
