Popsicle, a strawberry blonde chihuahua with fancy fur, is no posh snob. Instead, she’s a celebrated undercover therapy dog who began raising the spirits of creatures great and small long before there were badges, regs, and paperwork for that sort of thing. Entering retirement, she retains her awe-inspiring kindness, dainty manners and bawdy sense of humor. Her plan is to freelance in a forever home, trading love for love. For her part, this would include lots of active listening and couples counseling as needed. Bonus!

Popsicle is the people’s princess! She will grace any human she meets with a wag of her tail and a polite sniff. Let her warm up a little more and she will be your lap warmer! Don’t let her age fool you, this princess is active! She likes to go out for a little walk and can still jump onto sofas or into car seats. Popsicle’s favorite spot to reign over her domain is from our sofa where she can watch us go about our business.
Popsicle is fully housetrained and goes outside preferably on a grass area. She has only used a pee pad (which we put out in case of emergencies) to rest her royal behind while she scratched her ear.
We have noticed that Popsicle likes to fuss at other dogs while out on walks. She just wants them to know that this is her neighborhood! She is such a princess that she must be either hand-fed or on a flat surface. If on a flat surface, this dainty lady would prefer not to be observed. Every princess has their secrets!
Popsicle is graced with highly attuned ears (look at those fox-like beauties!!) and she prefers loud noises kept to a minimum. The TV is just fine, but trucks and slamming doors are too uncouth for this lovely lady. In addition to loud noises, Popsicle wants her royal attendants be with her at all times. When left alone, she will voice her displeasure for a bit and then usually goes to take a lie down until her attendants return. Her royal entourage has taken to leaving her alone for some periods of time during the day and she has responded well to this treatment.
Popsicle loves to be near her royal entourage and sleeps right next to them while they are watching TV. Though she wants to be near her royal entourage, she doesn’t like being hugged or loomed over Respectful pets, scratches, and all complimentary cooing are acceptable and encouraged
When riding in cars, Popsicle hasn’t had any issues, she curls up and goes to sleep! No car sickness or nervousness here. She even jumps up into the car (shotgun naturally).
Popsicle wants to be around you so watch your footing with this one! She needs to make sure that you aren’t tarnishing her royal reputation.
Popsicle is sweet, calm, and collected. If you are looking for a companion, this lovely lady is the one for you!
