Muttville’s cadre of farm animals wouldn’t be complete without a Piglet, so we’re here to introduce this sweet 14-year-old chihuahua with adorable airplane ears and a teeny tongue that sticks out just a bit from her little snoot. Piglet is a little shy but enjoys being around her canine companions for moral support, so you’ll probably find her nestled into a cuddle puddle of other mutts (and maybe a human or two!). True to her name, she will come out of her shell a bit if you offer her snacks, so we have no doubt that her wonderful personality will soon shine through with sufficient bribery. Her penchant for snacks and name might imply a huskier build, but Piglet weighs in just shy of 9 pounds, meaning she can easily accompany you on all of your adventures in a sling or stroller. All in all, she’s the perfect pooch: portable, personable, and plenty of fun! If you, or your canine companion, are looking to meet a demure dame like Miss Piglet, stop by the farm today and look for the cutest clump of canines.

Here’s some notes from her foster:

“It’s hard to be brave…when you’re a very small animal.”

-Piglet, Winnie the Pooh (A.A. Milne)

My sweet Piglet! How I adore her! The way her tiny tongue bleps out of her mouth and her floppy ears perk up at the sound of a treat…it melts my heart. Poor Piglet, like the character from Winnie the Pooh, is a little unsure about life but she seeks comfort and support from her trusted friends. She has a natural curiosity and with a little time in new places is ready to explore. It only took her one night to start to trust me and I’m so excited to watch our relationship grow so that I can help her find her perfect forever home.

Piglet is a gentle, soft soul. When you say her name, she’ll gaze at you soulfully and her tail will start a timid wag. In her retirement era, she’s learned to appreciate the finer things in life like long naps in a cozy bed and slow, gentle walks. And of course, she likes a tasty snack but will be very dainty about taking it. She doesn’t mind doing her own thing, but enjoys snuggling up next to you or another canine companion.

We adore Piglet and we know her adopter will too!
