Just like persimmons taste like no other fruit, our Persimmon is a one of a kind, unique lady. She may be blind, but she gets around with grace and poise, exploring her surroundings with her perfect nose. Is she heading to your home? If it’s cozy, calm and loving, it sounds like a match made in heaven! You can tell from her little tail wags that she knows she’s on the way to a perfect new life now!

Here’s some notes from her foster:

Persimmon may be blind and deaf but that doesn’t hold this dainty, sweet girl back at all. It took a few weeks but she now gets around the house and backyard with no trouble. If you don’t move things around she has a great memory and with a few bumps here and there she manages her surroundings. With some training she has even learned to navigate the two small steps to go outside and come back in all by herself.

She is a very smart girl. She loves to cuddle on the couch with her person but does need help to get down so you can’t leave her unattended. She is great with dogs, even giant dogs and small gentle children as well. This precious one is a foodie. If you are cooking or eating she is right there hoping for a taste but she is never pushy. She has a fantastic sense of smell. She will just tap you with her paw to remind you she would like a taste.

Her fur is growing back and she is starting to look more like the poodle she is. She normally sleeps through the night. As long as I take her out to potty, she is %100 house trained. She is not a barker and can be left alone for several hours. She likes to go back to sleep for a few hours after breakfast but is very active when she wakes back up until her afternoon nap.

Persimmon has so much love to give and when she wags her little tail it melts your heart. This little one is an easy girl and needs to find her forever family who will give her the love and care she deserves.
