Meet our sweet senior Pepper!

Pepper is a really pretty miniature pincher lady. She is quiet and gentle. She enjoys lounging and taking life easy. She does great getting around and still has enough hop to do stairs and jump in the car! Good girl Pepper!

Pepper would love to find a quieter home to call her very own. We think she will be most comfortable in a mature home, but older patient children may be okay too! Will it be with you?

HERE’S WHAT HER FOSTER HAS TO SAY!

Pepper has been the best dog even though her life was turned upside down! I’ve had her almost a week and each day she opens up more showing how sweet and fun she is. Pepper was guarded at first but today she wiggled her happy behind and played with a ball, this tells me she’s going to get better and better as she feels more secure and comfortable. She is recovering from surgery (dental, spay, tumor removal) so she needs time to heal, but even with all that’s happened to her lately she is an absolute joy.

After the first day Pepper started asking for pets, she puts her head in my hands and pushes her whole body against me. She doesn’t want to be picked up but when I’m sitting on the floor she snuggles in blankets next to me. If I’m sitting at my desk she’ll curl up in a dog bed at my feet.

Pepper is fearless like many Min Pins and has watchdog characteristics. She likes to explore outside, eagerly running out the door to find interesting smells in the backyard, and she’s always up for walks. She does well on her leash and has a little hop in her gait, Pepper can easily go for a long trip around the block trotting at a good pace rarely stopping for sniffs. This girl is on the move!

Pepper prefers people to dogs and doesn’t appreciate when dogs get in her face. She isn’t aggressive but likes her space and will stand her ground. She barked at one dog in a park today but I think she wouldn’t do this if she was off-leash. She doesn’t bark at my three dogs, nor a friend’s two dogs who came to visit.

She doesn’t follow me around constantly but she always watches where I go, she is alert and aware. She rides in the car well and can jump in and out on her own. She’s been sleeping either in an open pen or in a bed next to my male Chihuahua. And except for a couple pee accidents when she first arrived, Pepper goes outside for all her ‘business’!

Pepper was howling and crying the first night but she hasn’t done that since. She is very sweet and wants to be close, she just needs patience. On her third day she rolled on her side next to me so I could rub part of her belly. Because of her recent surgery she’s sensitive around her belly area so I appreciate and cherish her trust. She can be vocal when she wants to tell you something but quickly stops if you reassure her with affection. Pepper deserves a home where she can be with her people most all the time. She wants to love and to be loved. Will you be her lucky forever home?
