What could be prettier than our perfect pup, Peony? Our floppy eared lady is curious, friendly and will remind you to slow down and smell the peonies (and fire hydrants, doggie butts, and whatever else there is to sniff).
Here’s a note from her foster:
Despite having a rough life, losing an eye, and being about 11 years old, Peony doesn’t let that stop her! She’s a curious, energetic girl who loves to sniff everything in sight, roll around and burrow in the blankets. She’ll follow you around the house, and eventually settle on a dog bed or pillow. She also loves small walks but doesn’t handle stairs very well.
She is still working on potty training, but she is extremely food motivated so it’s already starting to stick with her. She loves food time and scarfs down her meals, so I recommend using a slow feeder. She does suffer from a bit of separation anxiety, so she’d likely be happiest in a place with an understanding family who can be with her when needed and help her work through her anxiety.
Peony is as sweet as her name and any family will be lucky to have her!
