Peek-A-Boo, a tiny tan chi with enormous ears, contains multitudes. She is shy but seeks companionship. She’s technically an elder, but trots, leaps and does stairs like a youth. Scanning the street from our picture windows, she strikes a confident pose, but she prefers affection that comes with a little patience and extra care. Who doesn’t? Perfection is a strong word, but our sweet Peek comes very close. See for yourself. She’s the one in the window with the ears.

Peek-A-Boo is such a sweet little princess (90% of the time, in true chi fashion!). She has been getting more comfortable by the day. She loves to greet you with little tail wags and gives sweet kisses as she cuddles next to your side. She sleeps peacefully right by my side throughout the night, and loves to sleep in.
She loves receiving compliments, and it’s so cute how excited she gets when you tell her she is a good girl or ask her if she is a little princess. She has the cutest little ears that certainly accentuate her fun and feisty personality! We’ve been learning her schedule and doing positive reinforcement with treats outside, and she is figuring out where to go potty. She also used a potty pad when I was away for a few hours.
She isn’t a fan of being disturbed when she slumbers, so it’s best to give her attention and love on her terms. If she’s up and around, she doesn’t mind being picked up (she is currently sleeping on my lap as I write this). However, if she’s tired, she may not want to be handled. (pets are fine though!). She is good on a leash but doesn’t love putting her harness on, so that is another thing we are working on with positive reinforcement, and she seems to tolerate it a bit better.
She hasn’t barked or made much noise, minus some rumbles if you try to disturb her slumber. She is totally fine with my resident dog, even when he accidentally sat on her. She does startle at noises easily, so Peek-A-Boo would do best in a quiet, calm, home where she could be the center of attention, and get plenty of compliments in between her beauty sleep sessions!
