To tell you about Patrick, we’ll need to take a rare break from giving Patrick a tummy rub. He is wee chi the color of cream soda with umber ears and a quirky, not entirely toothless, grin. He is a lot of amazing things: adorable, carefree, and a friend to dogs, humans of all ages, and cats. But most of all, he’s a world-class tum rub enthusiast who takes this vocation very seriously. He’ll have you know that the American Kennel Club says on its website, “Don’t underestimate the power of belly rubs.” He’ll give you the link. Then he’ll ask for a tum rub. Note: You won’t want to stop and will need to take him home. Totally worth it.
