Parade

Parade

#13000
Chihuahua, Short Coat
Female
11 lbs (small)
Status: Adopted

Parade, a wee toffee chi of immeasurable sweetness, has the magnetic charm of a rollicking procession without all the batons, tubas, and parking hassles. Soft and soulful, she draws crowds quietly with mellow affection, snuggling bystanders and taking advantage of the cuddles offered in return. Her fetching underbite and over-the-top ears bear mentioning, along with her fondness for other dogs, short walks and all the tenderness you can muster. March right over here and take her home!

She came to us with a mass on her underside which has successfully been removed! We’ll have a celebration Parade for that :)

Here’s some notes from her foster:

Parade is the sweetest dog in the world! She wants to be as physically close to you as possible at all times, and she is obsessed with belly rubs. She’s very gentle and loves to give kisses, and is very appreciative of cheese! She seems to be potty trained, and didn’t have one accident over the couple of days I had her.

She loves to greet everyone on walks, and is good with other dogs on the leash! She’s also good about going out as long as she’s bundled up if it’s cold outside. She can do a couple of steps, but will need to be carried up most stairways and ramps. She likes to take her walks at a slow “take in the day” kinda way, and prefers to walk directly behind you (she’s in parade formation!).

She definitely would prefer to sleep in bed with you, but if that’s not possible, she’s okay by herself at night as long as you keep to a routine. She’s also very good at being left home alone. I didn’t push it farther than two hours, but I think she would probably be okay for longer.

She is going to make someone a perfect dog though!
