Found in Mexico on a bit of a solo walkabout, little Mr. Paper Mate made his way into the loving embrace of Muttville. This handsome gent tells us he wandered away one day from the troupe of world-class musicians with whom he was enjoying a concert tour! We think he may have also been enjoying world-class cuisine because at 14 pounds, he’s a teeny bit overweight. Luckily, he loves moderate exercise, which is a must to keep this 12 year-old dude in shape. He does stairs like a champ and loves everyone: 2-legged, 4-legged and in between! Come meet Paper Mate! Maybe he’ll teach you some new songs and you can sing fun new duets together!

Paper Mate is definitely potty trained! He loves his sleep! He sleeps through the night, and likes to nap during the day. He mostly is a low energy type of guy, but gets very excited by treats. He knows sit and shake!
Paper Mate loves car rides and enjoys sticking his head out of the window. He will stand on two legs to look out. He does totally fine walking past cars, strollers, people, and other dogs. He paid no attention to my friends cat. He has been super friendly with other humans who want to pet him in public. We took him to a dog friendly patio/bar and he was fine! Totally unfazed by loud street noises, he may perk his head up but for the most part ignores it all.
He is very intrigued by mirrors. he may or may not have walked into it 3 times thinking it was another room or trying to meet his reflection, it took him a while before he learned to love his reflection. Dinner time is definitely his fav part of the day. When I come home, he gets very excited! He is just so cute!
