Rich in sweetness and ready to be picked, Papaya is exactly what we all need in our lives. She will make your heart pump with joy! Her cute beagle body, and scruffy like face makes this gal undeniably irresistible. Her ears may speak hound dog, but her tail shouts come pet me! It hardly ever stops wagging from side to side and it consistently spreads happiness and love across the room.
Here’s some notes from her foster:
Papaya is a happy-go-lucky, enthusiastic, waggy girl. She is so easy to have around – ready to walk if you want to walk, relax if you want to relax, and will just generally lift your spirits with her cheerful attitude.
She likes to meet new people and new dogs and will approach with a friendly wag. If a dog is grouchy, she has the good sense to steer clear.
She is easy-going and adapts quickly. She loves people and attention and will ask for it but won’t demand it. She loves going on walks, and her beagle nose is always working. She’ll charge out of the house for a walk but she tires sooner than you’d think (30 mins max) and goes home and passes out like a puppy. I thought she might be a flight risk, but turns out when we get home from a walk and I take off her leash she’s perfectly happy to go inside. She can do stairs no problem (and will race you).
She loves her food and will encourage you to give her treats, but she doesn’t insist. She wants to chase squirrels, but I haven’t given her the opportunity to follow through, so I don’t know what that means for cats. She wants to be with you on the sofa or in bed, but she won’t crowd you, though if you want to offer some snuggles, she is delighted to comply. She seems to be completely house-trained. I have yet to hear her bark. She is, in short, a great companion, super easy, and a real beam of sunshine.
