Panko is the size of a breadcrumb!

Little tiny Panko is packed with personality and pizzaz! This little guy bops around like a little popcorn kernel. He is a senior, (we checked his i.d), but he is such a puppy! He is obsessed with other dogs and could just play play play all day long. He is pure entertainment and just as cute as they come. With his derpy Muttville salute, and power packed energy, he will have you swooning. Panko is hilarious, adorable, sweet and just a joy to watch. Panko would do great in any home.

Panko is estimated to be 12 years young and weighs in at a whopping 4 lbs.

HERE’S WHAT HIS FOSTER HAD TO SAY:

Panko is the sweetest of senior dogs who loves to be around people. This small chihuahua is affectionate and warm, and likes to sit or sleep next to me while I work or watch TV. He also does not mind when I pick him up and carry him outside or between rooms.

Weighing in at less than 4 pounds, Panko packs more than his weight. At home, he is very active, scampering around and keeping an eye on everything going on. He likes to be at the center of the action. He also enjoys exploring my garden and its various scents.

When we go outside, Panko walks for short distances. I think that the noises of the big city might be too much for this little guy. If you are looking for a dog for long walks or hikes in the countryside, Panko would not be your first choice.

Rather than barking, Panko chirps almost like a bird. It is a soft sound that a neighbor would not hear. When he wants something, rest assured, he will let you know with a chirp.

Panko sleeps through the night (next to me), is house-trained and gets along with my own dog.

Given his size, Panko cannot climb stairs well (though he has tried!) so he would do better in a single-floor home (preferably with some outdoor space). Also, if you put him on a couch or bed, you should not leave him unattended so that he does not fall off.

Panko has a lot of love to give and is going to be a terrific “companion dog” for a lucky human!
