Please join us in welcoming to Muttville, this sweet little chonky potato of a short-haired Chi. Like his namesake festival, Outside Lands is a lively little dude who is a connoisseur of fine music, arts, and locally-produced beer and wine. He tells us he is especially fond of the Blues and folk rock. We think he might be attracted to the Blues, because he’s had a bit of a rocky path in life thus far, (and who doesn’t love a good Bluesy song?). That said – he is a spunky, lovely little guy, with an undaunted spirit! Upon arriving at Muttville, this 7 year-old pup was initially a little shy and reserved (aren’t we ALL when we suddenly find ourselves in brand new situations?) So he may need some extra lovies and patience from his new person(s). Though he is a bit of an introvert, he seems to love being around people and other pups. Consequently, we feel Outside Lands would do best in a home that has other dog siblings already in place for him to enjoy. This little guy truly is a joy to know. Come on into Muttville HQ and meet Outside Lands! We promise you, it will be time well spent.

Here’s some notes from his foster:

Outside Land is housetrained! Has only had one accident and honestly it’s probably because I was dragging my feet on his walk. He’s obviously very well housetrained because even his first day at our house (where I think every other foster I have had has had accidents) he didn’t go in the house. He loves to take walks… but is VERY slow due to excessive sniffing. He can trot quite merrily when he wants to- but he takes his sweet time!

HE LOVES OTHER DOGS! Seriously- he’s so shy and nervous but when we meet another dog on our walk, he’s SO HAPPY! He loves to meet little AND big dogs! If there is a foster parent who has another dog- that would be EXCELLENT! He is super into doggie friends. He’s also great with the cats. Completely mellow around them. He will come up to sniff and say hi- but basically leaves them totally alone. Cats respond well to him as well. He’s clearly not scared of the cats either.

Mr. Lands does fine on the stairs! Wasn’t sure he could use them at all… but then after a day and a half just started going up and down them like a pro- so I think it was just initial nerves. As far as I can tell, extremely gentle with no aggressive tendencies towards anyone or any other animal.
