If you’re looking for a little poodle with a big personality, Outback is your guy. Thus spunky sweetheart is always ready for fun and a few well-earned treats. He’s charming, full of character, and loves getting pets almost as much as he loves being part of the action. Outback enjoys the company of other dogs and brings a cheerful energy wherever he goes. Whether it’s a walk in the park or a cozy night in, he’s up for any adventure that ends with cuddles. With his sweet nature and adventurous spirit, Outback is the perfect partner for anyone who loves a little sparkle in their day.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Outback has blossomed quickly!! He is the best boy and I know he’s going to make his forever family so happy. A few observations:
Potty Habits:
He’s made ZERO accidents so far. I’ve noticed that he holds his business until I take him on his walks. He walks so proudly with his head held high and has a real spring in his step for a senior pup!
Jumping Habits
He is very clever and agile so he has no issues jumping up and down on things (i.e. sofa, bed) he just needs a soft landing space to jump down to so he doesn’t slip.
Temperament:
He is SO sweet. Super quiet, only barks at his reflection in the mirror & when I am prepping his meals. He sleeps through the night no problem on the foot of my bed and has no issues being left alone for a couple of hours when I work out or pop into the grocery store. I think he may have been someone’s pet at some point because he knows how to sit, knows “no” and comes when I call him. He also doesn’t beg / doesn’t food guard.
His Daily Routine:
He wakes up slowly (truly you can have your morning coffee and some time to yourself as he very slowly wakes up for the day!) and then he licks up his little dental treat from his woof puzzle ball. About 30 mins later I give him breakfast (around 8:30 am). Then he goes for his morning walk (a few laps around the block) and then settles in with me while I finish up some work – he’ll snooze all day if he can!
Outback is very good on a leash! He walks without pulling/with enough slack and doesn’t react to any dogs or anything. He ran errands with me today and was super quiet and well behaved everywhere I went.
I approach him slowly and from behind, but he doesn’t mind being held and will fall asleep in your arms! Like any senior dog he needs his space & doesn’t want to be startled. He sleeps a lot and would do well in a quiet home.
