Meet Ona! This lovely senior girl was rescued as a stray all the way in Solano County!

Ona is understandably confused about all the recent changes in her life, but is coming out of her shell more and more each day. We know she will blossom into a wonderful, loving, loyal companion once she feels saved and loved in her new home! Ona is great with dogs of all sizes, walks well on leash, and enjoys exploring her surroundings. We are still getting to know this adorable, long-haired Chihuahua girl but can already tell what a sweetheart she is!

Ona is 9 years young, weighing 8 pounds.

Here’s what Ona’s foster has to say about this sweet gal:

Ona is Gentle & sweet. She loves to play, but also loves to just cuddle up at your side & hang out. She is a good walker & loves to play at dog parks. She is also ok chilling at home for awhile too or just using the backyard instead of going for a walk. I took her on a 5 mile hike & she had no problems. She’s great, she plays when you want to play & sleeps when you want to do other things. She can take a little bit to warm up but it passes quickly. She loves chasing squirrels! Her house-training is good, she was trained with the dog door in no time. She had a few accidents in the beginning but overall no issues. When left to her own devices her favorite place to pass out is fully melted on your lap or between your legs – this could be on the couch, or in a car, wherever she gets a chance to get warm & fall asleep.

Watch Ona soak up the love!
