Meey Okapi, a doggie dreamboat who graduated summa cum laude with a PhD in Canine Happy Personality Development. Okapi is a pro at navigating spaces with sniffs and nose boops, and is elated when she bumps into anything that will pet her and/or dispense treats. With this beautiful, peppy, friendly lady in your life you are pretty much guaranteed to feel as happy as she is, every single day!

The only thing that surpasses Okapi’s curiosity is her sweetness. Everyone who has met her under our care is amazed by her happy-go-lucky personality and the simple fact that her tail wags with the stamina of the energizer bunny! The love she has to share is endless. She seems to love all people & animal alike and quickly assimilates herself into any habitat after a day or so. Being without her sight only stopped her from climbing up the stairs into our family bed for nighttime cuddles for all of five minutes. She greatly appreciates when cuddles turn into belly scratches. Belly scratches often bring her back to her puppy days, where she’s roll & scratch & kiss & then when it’s finished she’ll force herself under a blanket and move around for minutes on end until she’s the perfect amount of comfortable.
She also has a keen awareness of her surroundings at all times. She has yet to fall off any ledges or have accidents within the home. Even with a past leg injury, she avoids objects in her path with grace.
During bedtime she’ll sleep in her bed throughout the night without a peep, but would love if you share yours. We think she would love to have a furry brother or sister, who she could follow around in confidence & tails wagging in unison! However, if she goes to a single dog household she has more than enough love to fill the biggest of hearts.
Okapi is equal parts sweetheart and angel and any home would be incredibly lucky to have her.
