Nivea might be pint-sized, but she’s packing major charm with the kind of face that could stop traffic and make grown adults speak in baby talk. Her black and white coat is so luxuriously soft it could be mistaken for couture, and she’s not above using her cuteness to score extra treats. Eager to please and even more eager for belly rubs, Nivea will happily flop over like a seasoned professional the moment she senses affection in the air. She’s playful without being chaotic, sweet without being clingy, and friendly with every human and dog she meets as if she’s running for mayor of the park. You’ll find her tail wagging at top speed and her little legs moving just as fast to keep up with the fun. Whether it’s a walk, a cuddle, or a treat time strategy session, Nivea is ready and willing. She’s very motivated, and your couch, lap, and heart have already been claimed. Get ready for some serious companionship goals. This little Shih Tzu is about to become your whole personality.

Nivea stole my heart within just 24 hours. With her sweet, gentle demeanor, adorable little prance, and the biggest eyes you’ll ever see, it’s impossible not to fall for her.
She’s a calm companion who loves to lounge nearby while you go about your day, although she’s secretly counting down the minutes until her next round of belly rubs (her absolute favorite!). Nivea enjoys her walks and does well on leash, though she’s still figuring out how to handle the big glass lobby doors, and seems a little leery of doors in general. However, she is more than okay being carried, and she’s already showing signs she’ll get used to them with time.
At first, she can be a little shy and prefers not to be rushed into hugs, but she warms up quickly (treats help expedite!) and is soon eager to soak up all the pets and cuddles.
She takes her eye medication like a champ, was wonderful when I gave her a bath, seems to be potty trained, and has been a respectful house guest. She gives my resident dog plenty of space and doesn’t mind when he gets attention. I haven’t heard a peep from her (even when my resident dog decided he wanted to bark at her for no reason), and she has no problems being left alone. Best of all, Nivea is a snuggler, she curled up quietly by my side all night! At first she seems a bit overwhelmed by stairs, however she was able to jump on the couch, so agility is there, just on her terms!!
Nivea does the sweetest little “melt” when you start rubbing her belly. This sweet girl is truly as easygoing and lovable as they come.
