Nikolo is a great little senior pup coming to us all the way from Monterey.
Nikolo may seem shy at first, but immediately starts perking up and wagging his tail whenever people approach him. He kindly asks for attention and enjoys being held, taken for walks, and cuddled. We know Nikolo is still coming out of his shell after all the recent changes in his life, but he is fully vetted, loyal, gentle, and ready for his forever home!
Nikolo is 12 years young and weighs 9.5 pounds.

Nikolo is an awesome dog! Very sweet & calm. He usually lies in his bed or on the couch when we are at home but really loves going on walks & gets very excited once we leave the apartment. He sleeps through the night in his bed with no issues since the beginning. Nikolo is very relaxed at home but jaunty & happy on walks with a full wagging tail & excitement to see everything. His house-training is very good, no problems. We live in a high rise apartment & he has not had any issues going out & down the elevator to the sidewalk. He is great in the apartment alone, he’s been home alone up to 4 hours & has been fine. He is great in the car too! Nikolo really loves his blanket, he’ll lay down & chill out on anything soft.
STAFF PICK! "I love little Nikolo!!! He has been at Muttville for over 100 days and I just can’t figure out why! Nikolo is the sweetest senior chihuahua. He loves to have snuggle time and cozy up with you and under the blankets. He also really loves his butt scratches so much that he just about stands on his front feet only when you scratch his bum…so cute!
Not only is he so sweet and cute, he is the easiest dog I have ever cared for! He is potty trained and also even knows to go on pee-pads inside if he has to. He is quiet and calm. He sleeps through the night in his own bed, but of course is also happy to be your little spoon.
He does get super excited when you grab the leash as he comes to life out on his walks and has the bounciest little strut you’ve ever seen! Once he knows you well and is comfortable in his surroundings, he will even play tag and run around the house to show his excitement! It’s the cutest thing.
Well he can get a little overwhelmed by SOME dogs, he does great with my 2 pups and they all live together very happily!
