Most people think Snoopy is the most famous beagle out there, but have you met Neon Carrot? This beautiful tri-color boy makes a statement as vivid as his name implies with floppy ears, a strong nose, and quite a bit of pep for an older pup. He may not be running miles, but Neon Carrot loves a quick jaunt of a few blocks to see the sights. He loves scratches, especially if you ruffle his ears, and he does like treats, although he is a bit of a connoisseur with a discerning palate. Don’t worry though, he’d love to tell you his thoughts about treats, baths, naps, and everything in between if you have some time to spend with this marvelous mutt. Being around Neon Carrot is like being injected with serotonin—this boy is addictive! I get lost in those big brown eyes of his. We’re in a full-on bromance. It’s not just me but he quickly wins over other people with his charm. He’s got great energy for an old dog. People often mistake him for a puppy when we’re out on walks. Speaking of which, he loves going out and is eager to sniff everything in sight. I’m just wondering what’s going through his head when he’s lost in scents.
His favorite thing is head rubs. It’s like he goes into a trance when I’m doing it. You could rub his head all night and he’d still ask for more(and he does). He doesn’t seem highly trained, but I’ve taught him how to sit, so I know he can learn—he’s just a little slow on the uptake. Treats help too. He’s very food motivated for just about anything but his dog food, which he eventually gets around to eating.
He’s been a great little companion and he’ll make his new owner very happy.
