They always say get you a mutt that can do both, and our marvelous Moo has both the most engaging doggy grin and devastating side eye that we’ve seen in ages. This lovely lass has a whitish coat with sandy brown ears that curl fetchingly over her face; in fact, she’s giving Wishbone from the 90’s television show,(perhaps she also goes on historical adventures? Moo is a mysterious mutt, you can tell from the enigmatic expression). She’s more of a wallflower than the life of the party, but that’s okay, we’re sure that she will blossom into a secure senior who has distinct preferences for favorite nap spot. She is on the younger side after all, at only 7 years young, Miss Moo is just out of adulthood. And, much like any fully actualized senior doggo, she can be bribed to come out of her shell a bit for cheese (honestly, who wouldn’t)? If you’re looking for a sweet and shy little companion to spend afternoons on the couch or take a turn around the park, Miss Moo is the mutt for you!

Here’s some notes from her foster:

Sweet Moo has been an amazing houseguest! She has had a rough time recently and is learning to feel safe and loved after her guardian passed away. She also had a dental surgery that resulted in 26 teeth being removed. She was a champ through surgery and is bouncing back amazingly well.

Perhaps due to the circumstances under which she came to Muttville, Moo is understandably wary and shy of new people. She has been with us for nearly a week and is doing very well, but she might take a little longer to settle into her new home than some other dogs. I became her person and she did give little barks when either of the other family members came into a room, but this seems to be subsiding. We are seeing her personality come through – loyal, loving and sweet.

Moo walks well on a leash, is potty trained (and seems to be able to hold on for a long time) and agile – stairs are no problem, even with her cone on! She has a great appetite, isn’t picky and is taking her meds wrapped in her food with no problem.

We have noticed some food and bed guarding, so we have been working on that. Feeding her away from our other dog is the best solution.

Our household is 2 adults, a teen, one senior dog and 2 young cats. She has paid no attention to the other animals! Moo would love a quiet home with a guardian who is willing to take things at Moo’s pace and follow her lead to build up her sense of security. She will be a wonderful companion when she settles in.
