Monroe is the sweetest little gem that gets cuter and cuter every time I look at him! Hilariously, he seems to know when I’m about to take a photo and angles his face away from his foster papparazi.
His energy level is great: he’s happy taking a longer stroll (1-2 miles) and playing with toys at home during the day, and content to snuggle in bed through the night. Monroe seems to get along with everyone he encounters on his walks and would love nothing more than to make friends with all the dogs in the universe!
He has also done amazing with our cats. He has not barked or growled when seeing them and is generally curious if they’re in the same room as him. He does seem interested in playing with them but our cats are much more interested in passive activities, like sleeping, so they really only hang out in the evening.
Monroe seems to be very food motivated! We’ve found that he enjoys apples and freeze-dried beef liver treats so far. He also has a good appetite during meal time. Monroe is a little shaky when he first gets into a car, but is very good about sitting and waiting to get to the destination after a few minutes into the ride.
