Meet Mona, a captivating and calm copper-colored sheep dog with enchanting brown eyes that mirror the allure of the Mona Lisa. Much like the timeless beauty found in Italian Renaissance paintings, Mona herself is a masterpiece eagerly waiting to grace your home. Prepared to be captivated by her perfectly fluffy coat, which is a canvas of warmth and beauty. You truly won’t be able to resist her affection and companionship, and she is so ready to find the person that’s going to appreciate her value! Adopt Mona and let her bring a touch of artistic splendor to your life.

Here’s some notes from her foster:

Mona is blossoming beautifully, revealing her relaxed and affectionate nature. She’s a sweetheart, often waking up from a nap with a wagging tail, seeking quick neck scratches and offering a loving kiss on the chin before settling back down. She’s chosen the couch as her cozy spot, adorning it with blankets. She snoozes peacefully through the night, waking once the family starts stirring around in the kitchen.

Here’s more about our sweet girl:

Housetrained: Within three days, she signaled her need to go out by happily wagging her tail at the door. She waits patiently for leashes to be put on, so would do well in an apartment or home with no yard.

Dog and Cat Friendly: Mona is unfazed by cats and has been the perfect companion to her Muttville foster sister.

Leash Skills: Mona walks like a pro; there’s no pulling except when an irresistible scent beckons her or she needs to stop for scratches.

Mealtime: No fuss about food; she eats without hesitation and doesn’t beg for more.

Medication: Easily takes pills when mixed with food, never spitting them out.

Bath Time: With a lick mat and some peanut butter, she’s a champ during baths.

Home Comforts: Prefers the couch over dog beds or floor blankets, sometimes needing a little help up due to occasional weakness in her back legs. She is a little slow going up the four steps to my home, but can easily make it when we go at her speed.

Vocal Habits: Rarely barks, only when playful during walks.

Sociable: Mona’s friendly nature extends to everyone she encounters during walks.

Mona’s soulful eyes will lure you in and everyone you encounter will stop to tell you what a beauty she is. She is truly a gem.
