Our newest short-term resident, Miss Rafferty, has made her way to us after regaling teams at NASA with tales of her encounters with UFOs. Given to irreverent humor and perhaps just a TOUCH of exaggeration, this little Yorkie/Terrier mix will nonetheless, charm the socks off of everyone she meets! Her paranormal anecdotes aside, we are very glad to welcome this little adventuress into the Muttville family.
A lady never reveals her true age, but we estimate her to be about 9 years young. And at just 6 pounds, she will happily accompany you anywhere you might wish to go! (Just so long as it’s not aboard a craft from outer space). She has told us after all these space rides, she’s ready for a spot to land and be the only 4 legged creature in the home.

Miss Rafferty is a tiny 6 lb Yorkie queen wrapped up in a snuggly teddy bear body. At 9 years young, she’s surprisingly agile and active- she can jump impressively high and still has plenty of pep in her step. She absolutely adores being the center of your universe, and promises to make you the center of hers. Whether she’s cuddled up right next to you or happily riding along in a sling while you run errands, Miss Rafferty just wants to be close enough to shower you with her sweet little kisses.
If she’s not by your side, you’ll likely find her perched on the highest throne (pillow), snoozing like royalty (you might even hear her gentle little snores from the next room).She’s a dream on outings—she spent a whole day tagging along in her sling, even catching a cozy nap during a business meeting. Miss Rafferty is friendly to her admirers, offering a polite hello or tiny kiss, but she’s a loyal little introvert who prefers sticking right by your side.
She loves her walks, trotting as fast as her little legs can go, and is fully potty trained with zero accidents. When it’s playtime, she’ll surprise you with her big, goofy personality as she gets delightfully rowdy with her toys. Her only ask? She doesn’t like to share your affection. While she’s polite with other dogs out and about, she wants all the love and attention for herself at home. Because of this, she’d be happiest in a home where she’s the only pet (and without young children).
