Miracle, a super senior of the Labrador-ish variety, is a toffee-swirl girl on a mission of love. A little arthritis slows her roll, but nothing seems to stop her from leaning into every opportunity to make a friend. Huge smile, big kisses, gentle sniffs and snoogs – her gifts are many and her fans, dogs and humans alike, are legion. Her current bestie? The tiniest dog at Muttville, who takes naps cradled against the big dog’s chest. How do we love her? Impossible to count the ways, especially if you include her spectacular ears. Come get a kiss, stay for a snuggle and take home a Miracle.

Here’s some notes from her foster:

Miracle exemplifies why we love dogs. She is a kind, loving, and calm girl who enjoys kisses and cuddles. Miracle really likes other dogs and sometimes when she sees them she makes little excited whining noises.

She does not mind being alone and spends most of the day resting. She does have some pep in her (awkward) step. She’s a bit stiff and her gait is a bit uneven, but she is determined and enjoys going on little strolls or exploring the yard. She can do stairs, both up and down, but for her safety (and her foster humans’ peace of mind) we err on the side of carrying her for long/steep stairs. She doesn’t mind being carried. She loves snoozing on the couch during the day, and will sleep on the couch or in bed with her people. She sleeps beautifully through the night!

Miracle taught herself to use the dog door, but sometimes we still encourage her to go outside to potty around meal times. She seems to be quite house trained. Just another way in which she’s low maintenance and fabulous!

On occasion, she will whine a little even though there’s nothing obviously wrong. She will also sometimes whine if she wants to cuddle or lick another dog but they are asking her to back off. She is the sweetest girl and never intends to bother anyone; it is as though sometimes she forgets that she might be too close and is confused by a dog asking for space. She does back away when needed, and never reacts in the least, even to grumpy chihuahuas growling and snapping by her face.

Miracle is a special, loving girl who is making the most of every day. She loves making friends of all species and is thrilled to receive any and all affection. She is such a joy to have in our home!
