Mindy comes to us from the San Jose Animal Shelter and can not wait to start her new adventures!
Sadly Mindy’s loving owner could no longer take care of her but that’s ok because she seems more than happy to be here. She is a cuddly little friend who can not wait to join your loving family! Until she finds you Mindy is enjoying herself exploring Muttville. She is super friendly with all dogs and humans she meets on her expedition. Mindy is hypoallergenic and would be a great fit for someone who has allergies or wants a low shedding dog.
Mindy is 15 years young & weighs about 11 pounds.
Here’s what Mindy’s foster has to say about this sweet girl:
Mindy is super calm, sweet & loyal. She follows me around & is just the sweetest dog. Mindy can walk quite a bit but does get tired. She doesn’t need much exercise. We go out & walk around one or two blocks, three or four times a day for potty breaks. She is amazing with the resident dog! They are super cute together. Cosmo is slower & Mindy always looks back to stop to wait for her. She did not show any interest in the neighbor’s cats, but that was the only interaction she had. The cats hid in the bedroom and Mindy just went on with her life, not caring about the cats at all. Mindy is ok with house-training, she needs a tiny bit of work on it… So far (it has been two days), only a few accidents. If you take her out three or four times in the day (including right after her meals), she seems to do just fine with no extra accidents. Mindy is happy to stay home and sleep all day, or go out on adventures with you. She sleeps through the night, eats well but not much. She appreciates a lap to be on, or to be in bed with you, but is ok if you put her down too. Sometimes, she comes up to me & does this cute little “jumping” thing with her front paws & it seems like that is her asking to come to your lap. She has the cutest little snore when she is asleep.
