Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is Operation Adopt Mendo. This covert assignment will involve secret spy things like scritches, long naps, and snackies. Agent Mendo is active, friendly with everyone, and loves walks. Your life might never be the same again, but this super mutt is worth the risks.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
We’ve had the pleasure of fostering Mendo over the past few days and we are obsessed! He is the perfect gentleman, wonderful manners, fully potty trained, enjoys a sniff around the park, loves his meals, he’s good in the car and is the perfect cuddle companion.
Mendo doesn’t beg when we are eating. He will let you know when he wants something with a bark. It either means I’m hungry, I have to go potty, or please pet me! He may be 13 but he still enjoys short and slow walks (10-15 minutes) multiple times a day (3-5 times per day), he gets excited to see you in the morning, when you come home from work, etc. He doesn’t like to walk too far and will put on the brakes when he wants to turn around so being mindful of his physical limits is important (don’t push him too much)!
We have pretty steep stairs and he is able to walk up and down them slowly and with some encouragement. Ideally, a house with no stairs, less stairs, or an apartment complex with an elevator would be best for him. He really does love and become attached to his humans. He would prefer to be around them all the time if he could!
No issues riding in a car, eager to jump in and out.He is chill with dogs big and small. He is really calm around people and children. He isn’t afraid of canes, walkers, or wheelchairs. He loves a nice comfy bed, being around people, and giving out plenty of kisses!
TLDR: he’s a verified sweetheart. Adopt him asap.
