Melissa is a lovely lady, the very definition of a Muttville easy keeper. This calm and gentle gal would love to join you for sniffaris around the neighborhood, cuddles on the couch, and if you could throw in some pets and belly rubs she’ll be most happy! It’s a deal!
HERE’S WHAT MELISSA’S FOSTER HAS TO SAY!
Melissa is a cute and curious gal who likes to sniff around and enjoys being close to her human. As we get to know one another more, she follows me and wants to see what I’m up to. She’s getting more confident and comfortable and is asking for pets and belly rubs and enjoys naps with her foster brother, Wally.
She’s extremely quiet and loves to sleep on "big dog beds. She is great with other dogs, including big dogs and she isn’t sensitive to noises. She enjoys walking and sniffing but all she needs is a few minutes to explore and then she’s ready to snuggle back in her bed or on the couch with you. She enjoys roaming the backyard too!
She’s also a good eater! She loves chicken and other meat snacks.
She has arthritis so seems to do better with her bowls raised so she doesn’t have to bend down to drink or eat. Bending down gave her a little trouble but once her bowls were raised she ate and drank very well. She goes potty outside however needs to go often so frequent trips outdoors is a good idea to avoid accidents. She is still new here and getting to know the routine so there could be less frequent potty breaks needed once she knows what to expect.
She’s camera shy but doesn’t mind from a short distance. She’s adept at finding her pills stuffed inside treats so we have to be careful that she doesn’t spit them out. Haha! Melissa is a delightful gal and a very easy going pup!
