Female
11 lbs (small)

Choosing a dog can be like choosing a dessert. You want all of the options, but you just don’t have room. Unless, of course, you adopt Mayzie. She is everything, everywhere, all at once. By the looks of her she’s got some doxie, some spaniel, maybe a hint of longhair chi and a smidge of terrier. Her coat is black, white and brown arranged in spots, speckles, floofs, and ruffles. She’s sweet and friendly; a perpetual wagger with nice manners. Go ahead, treat yourself! Take Mayzie home. No need to leave a tip.

Here’s some notes from her foster:

I’ve only been fostering Mayzie for a short time and she settled right in the first day. She is very curious and active. She has explored everywhere including under the bed and behind the couch. She loves belly rubs and will grab your hand to keep you on task.

She is good on the leash. She seems oblivious to people and other dogs, but likes to stick her nose into every store front. She seems to be house broken and takes care of business quickly outside. I was a little worried at first that she would be bored when I’m working but she seems happy to nap once she knows I’m not going to do anything interesting.

She is a spunky senior who has a zest for life and a talent for problem-solving (like figuring out how to open cabinets and her playpen!). She’s food-motivated and would be easy to train. She seems to know how to sit when asked (most of the time!)

Her adorable wrinkled legs and playful spirit will surely steal your heart. She thrives with attention and would love an active family to keep her company. Even at her 13 years young, she’s surprisingly active.

If you’re looking for a loving and charming companion, this sweet senior could be your perfect match!
