Male

Match Point is a stunning black chihuahua who has strutted into Muttville with the attitude of a winner, hence his name – this little guy is always scoring the Match Point! This dapper gentleman is on the younger side for a Muttville mutt at 7 years young, and he bounces around from pup to human with the elasticity of a tennis ball during the game. Match Point is phenomenally friendly, waging a competition against himself for the fastest record to meet every friend both human and canine in the building. He’s been doing an amazing job so far, so he’s been walking around with a self-satisfied smile on his adorable frosting face. Clearly, he’d do very well with another doggo sibling, but we think he’d be happy to be the sole apple of your eye as well. If you are looking for a bouncy, bubbly little gent to liven up your life, see if you can score the Match Point today!

Here’s some notes from his foster:

Looking for the perfect mix of cuddle buddy and walking companion? Say hello to Match Point, our dashing little senior with a spring in his step and a heart full of love.

This charming gentleman is happiest when he’s close to his people. Whether he’s curled up in your lap, lounging in the sun on the porch, or keeping you company while you work, Match Point knows how to bring a calming presence to your day. Don’t be fooled, though — when it’s time for a walk, he perks right up and loves trotting around the block, sniffing all the good smells along the way. He even enjoys car rides and doesn’t mind being carried in your arms (or in a Trader Joe’s tote bag — he’s versatile like that!).

Energy level: Relaxed and easygoing at home, with a little zest for walks and outdoor sniffing adventures.

Other pets: Match Point has been very sweet with our dog — they even nap in the sun together! We don’t yet know how he feels about cats or kids, but his gentle nature suggests he’d do best with kind and respectful companions.

Potty routine: When Match Point first arrived, he had a couple of accidents, but he’s adjusted wonderfully. He does best with 4–5 outings a day at first, then quickly learns your routine and can transition to 2–3 times a day.

Why we love him: Match Point is the best of both worlds — a cuddly lapdog who’s equally up for little adventures. He’s handsome, well-balanced, and simply a joy to be around. Whoever adopts him will gain a loyal, gentle companion with so much love to give.
