Not unlike the Mars bar, the Mars doggo is a delectable chocolate confection with many layers of delicious goodness. A poodley guy with copious curls, he’s full of vim, vigor and contagious good humor. And the expansive unibrow is 100 percent organic. He’s up for adventures, stairs, other dogs, jumping, and treats: One at a time is fine; all at once is definitely in his wheelhouse. Does he cuddle? At the drop of a hat. Here’s some notes from his foster:
Mars is doing well in foster! He was super curious when he got here and lots of energy checking out our place! He has been great on a leash and doing his business on walks! He’s great with most dogs and has only growled at one but was gentle doing so. He hasn’t barked yet and only whimpers when he wants to be put on the couch or is left alone for a bit.
He LOVES tennis balls and fetch and will play with it both outside and inside. He can do stairs and longer walks (~1 mile) at his own pace before he gets tired. I think post recovery he will be able to handle even longer. He has an appetite and LOVES treats (especially peanut butter and ice cubes). He slept fine at night on our bed. He knows the command sit and is food motivated!
He also likes laying right next to you with his head flopped on your lap. He doesn’t mind being carried and also flops his head back and it’s the cutest thing. When we’re working throughout the day, he mostly sleeps on the couch, keeps himself entertained with a tennis ball, or scavenges for food in corners of our kitchen. He’s hilarious and adorable and gets so many compliments on walks about the color of his coat!
