Introducing Mario, the dapper doggo with a heart of gold! Peppy and full of charm, he’s like a shining star, oh so warm. With a name like Mario, he’s quite the hero, just like Princess Daisy, spreading cheer-o!
Mario’s energy is contagious, spreading joy wherever he goes, with a wag of his tail and a twitch of his nose. His zest for life is truly inspiring, as he explores the world with curiosity never tiring.
So, if you’re looking for a furry friend, who’s cute and fun, adopt Mario today, and let the adventures begun!
Here’s some notes from his foster:
MARIO!
Mario is such a sweetheart! From the first day at our home, he has been comfortable in the new space, excited to play with his toys, a great long- and short-distance walking companion, and cuddly and gentle with his new foster family. We’re all (me, my husband, and teen daughter), smitten and loving this playful pup.
Energy: Oh boy – Mario is a furry little ball of energy and then some. Muttville suggested that he is likely not a senior at all, and his behavior is much closer to that of a puppy than that of a senior. He wakes up peppy and raring for a potty walk and breakfast, loves tearing around the living room chasing and chewing on squeaky toys, playing tug-of-war, and rushing after thrown balls. He’s always up for a walk around the block or around the park. He is also happy to snuggle on the couch after a bit of play, and will gladly lay either (right) next to you, or in your lap. He sleeps through the night, though he will wake sometimes if you do, just to make sure you’re still around.
Appetite:
Mario is VERY excited about food. He has a healthy appetite, and always hopes for more once he’s done with his meal. He will generally eat what is offered, and besides his Muttville food, has enjoyed sliced banana, sliced apple, and even a few tiny bits of broccoli. He does not generally jump on people or beg at the table, but he is interested in what his humans are eating at the dinner table, and will be your constant companion in the kitchen.
Potty Training Status:
Mario seems to be housebroken as long as he is given opportunities to go outside during the day. We usually take him out first thing in the morning, a few times during the day, and right before bed. He has not had an accident indoors.
Comfort with Other Dogs and Humans:
Mario has so far been friendly and enthusiastic about every other dog he meets. If he starts getting nervous or intimidated around a larger dog, he will let us know he needs space. He has never nipped at any other dog while with us. He is also sweet and tolerant while meeting new people.
