As autumn approaches, you start to feel that the air is just a little crisper, the leaves start to change colors, and your favorite flavors are back on the shelves – apple, pumpkin spice, and Maple! This syrupy colored chi is just as sweet and as sticky as her namesake; Maple is never happier than when she is curled up in someone’s lap. Miss Maple gets along well with the other mutts at Muttville, and she follows the humans around looking beseechingly for treats or cuddles. With her impressive fur coat that embodies THE color of autumn, she’ll be cozier than a comforting blanket in front of a fire on a cool fall day. Here’s some notes from her foster:
1. Of our 20 fosters, she’s been the most precious! She’s an absolute cuddle bug – loves climbing into our laps and loves her pets.
2. We have 2 cats and 1 dog, she gets along very well with them.
3. She eats really well (even with her cone on), loves food and treats.
4. She has had some minor success in using our dog stairs. With enough time I’m confident she would memorize and navigate the space well! She already does. I would say a “no” for stairs for now.
5. She is a little shy around new people. She was not with us, but she will bark sometimes when meeting new people but she LOVES her humans.
6. She’s pretty easy to go in potty breaks with – carry her right outside and she goes. We are doing x4 a day now.
