Chikki is 8 plus years old and a very sweet girl but she doesn’t like other doggies other than her pup Chimmu (who is also available from Downwardfacing Dogs.)
She weighs approx 40 lbs.
She was rescued from the streets of India and is now being fostered in Santa Cruz while she looks for her new home. She is a a great medium size and would love her new home for the New Year!
The scars on her poor little face are from fights she had with the wild monkeys in India while defending her pups and herself. She really deserves a loving person and a great forever home.

Mammy Chikki has survived an incredibly difficult life. She lived on the streets of India, protecting herself and her puppies from danger, including fighting off monkeys to keep them safe.
Thanks to rescue, she and her puppies were brought to the United States for a chance at a better life.
Chikki is deeply loving with people and forms strong bonds with her humans. She is calm in the home once she feels safe and wants nothing more than stability and peace.

• She does not get along with other dogs
• She is a known escape artist and needs a very secure home or yard
• She was previously adopted but returned due to conflict with another dog
Because of her history, Chikki needs a calm, experienced adopter who understands her boundaries.

• Patient, loving adopter who will give her time to trust
