Ooh Maggie Moo, we love you! Fluffy of tail, adorable of face, sweetest of sweet, this girl is a white fluff princess! Maggie Moo is a lap lover extraordinaire with lots of cuddles and snuggles in her future. Are you the lucky one to share in her favorite pastime?
Here’s a note from her foster family!
Maggie Moo is a sweetheart, straight from the Build-A-Bear Workshop! She is pretty active for a 10 year old but her most natural position is in your lap. She has occasional brief bursts of energy where she might want to play with toys or run around, but otherwise she is content to just lay in a bed next to you or in your bed with you – she generally loves to be close. If you get up, Maggie Moo will certainly follow to not be left behind. We have not seen her around children, but she’s very friendly with everyone she meets and loves getting rubs.
Maggie is very gentle with other dogs of varying ages and sizes when out and about. She does not particularly like to play with other dogs, but has a very high tolerance for others in her space. Maggie has mixed feelings about cats. We’ve observed her gently sniffing and at other times immediately chasing them. Ultimately, Maggie would like to be the only dog in the home, as she prefers being the Queen of the Castle and having her humans all to herself.
Maggie Moo enjoys walks (long and short) when she’s up for them but can sometimes be an anxious walker. She is sensitive to loud noises and can be a little jumpy in new surroundings. She is highly attentive, has great hearing, and is very responsive to her name. She has a real soft spot for grassy areas and would love a yard!
Maggie has a good appetite and is very food-motivated. She is also house-trained and has had zero accidents in the house. She communicates every few hours with gentle crying, but it’s still a bit difficult to decipher – we think it might be her way of saying she’s hungry or she needs to use the bathroom, although sometimes it’s just her way of saying "let’s go sit in bed together. Maggie is otherwise a quiet dog, only barking a bit when she hears loud noises, such as someone at the door or another dog in the neighborhood barking. Maggie would be very content with someone than can provide close companionship, attention, and conversation.
While staying with us, Maggie required eye drops and insulin, both twice a day. She takes them well and she is fine with the insulin injections when distracted with a little piece of food.
