Honey, I shrunk the pitbull! Once upon a time, Mack was a 60lb mass of pure love and wiggles. But when his ball bounced in front of an inventor’s shrink-ray, he was instantly transformed into a pocket-sized pitty. Luckily, Mack didn’t mind because his squeaky ball was shrunk right along with him-he can still play fetch!
Here’s a note from his foster:
Mack is so sweet! He was immediately friendly with several people who came over to visit. He wants to lick your face (sometimes a bit too hard) though his breath is a little stinky so beware! He seems to enjoy riding in the car and looking out at the world. He enjoys walks in the neighborhood and parks and is particularly keen to see people/bicycles/dogs go by. He doesn’t sniff much unless a particular scent catches his attention.
Mack is very much a velcro dog and wants to be with you at all times. He wants to be on your lap or licking your face or cuddled on your bed. I did let him up on the bed finally after some coazing from him, and he was jammed up against me all night! He snores quite loudly so be prepared haha. His back legs are stiff and his walking is somewhat labored. He really needs help getting into a car or onto a sofa or bed. So, his home needs to have a ramp or stairs or feel comfortable lifting him.
Mr. Mack is working on his housetraining. I think with a backyard and lots of treats, he’ll catch on fast. I left him home for 3 hours one day and he was not destructive, though he did have an accident. Mack loves wet food and treats! He is polite on leash but prefers to be the king and only creature of the castle (he was very interested in chasing the occasional squirrel and cat he saw!)
