Elegant, soft, delicate, graceful, I am not, But LUNA IS! This gentle lady is a Saluki, a rare breed of sighthound, think greyhound only more petite. We have all fallen in love with her since she arrived here from Istanbul where she lived in a shelter for 2 years! If you are looking for a quiet, housetrained girl that loves long walks and is agile and beautiful, you must meet her. She is a cuddler and loves belly rubs and is ready for a new home of her own. This lady is a head turner, for sure. She loves all people, all sizes and get along great with larger doggies!

Luna is such a sweet, gentle and loving pup. She loves cuddles and will come up and give you a little nuzzle. She likes to be in the same room as her human family and will curl up in her bed and watch you with big loving eyes! Although she is very quiet and dainty- she is not at all skittish and enjoys exploring and meeting people.
Luna has been enjoying going on leisurely 15 minute walks. I’m sure once she gets her strength back she will like longer walks and she seems to enjoy being outside. Her housetraining is perfect! She had no accidents and seems completely house trained.
Luna can be a picky eater but she has definitely got her appetite back! She has been eating three big bowls of food a day and we’re so happy to see her putting weight on. A good trick is to cover kibble/canned food with chicken broth or sardine juice and she will wolf it down!
Luna is estimated to be 11 years young and weighs 40 lbs.
