If you’re looking to meet Muttville’s newest celebrity chihuahua, keep an eye out for a tiny tornado of talent aka Loyale! We do see our fair share of spunky seniors with pep in their step, but this energetic mutt could easily be mistaken for a puppy instead of a 10-year-old senior. She hasn’t stopped spinning in excitement since she walked through the door, with an eager enthusiasm and a heart full of love, this little lady is on the search for her forever home and she won’t stop until she finds it! If you think it could be with you, come meet the lustrous Loyale today.
Here’s some notes from her foster:
Loyale: The Most Perfect Lap Dog & Work-From-Home Companion
Meet Loyale, the definition of a sweet, cozy, elegant companion. This gentle, well-behaved senior lady has clearly been loved and well-trained in a home environment before. She’s the perfect dog for someone looking for a quiet presence to share their daily life with.
Her Adorable Habits
The Ultimate Lap Dog: Loyale is happiest when she is touching her person. She loves cuddles with you! She can gently nudge her way onto your lap, making her an expert companion for movie nights, reading on the couch, or simply relaxing.
The Perfect Companion: If you work from home, Loyale is your dream office mate. She is extremely quiet and chill during your video conference calls. You can trust her to quietly snooze in a nearby cozy bed or settle right at your feet while you work. She NEVER barks when she knows her favorite person is close by.
Well House-Trained: She seems to have been excellent house-trained before and is generally very well-behaved.
During the day, she spends most of the time staying in her comfy bed and occasionally wanders around the house gently. She would prefer to spend more time cuddling with you if you allow her. She loves sleeping on your lap more than her own comfy bed.
She will tell you when it’s Potty Time! When she needs to go outside, she’ll shift from chill to suddenly hyper, running around, chasing her tail, and trying to get your attention. This is her polite way to tell you she wants a potty time.
She is efficient at doing her business: Once you take her out, she’ll get straight to business, and when she’s finished, she’ll confidently lead you right back home.
Finding Her Trust (A Note on Her Past)
Loyale is a deeply affectionate girl, but she asks for patience as she settles in.
Sweet Voices Welcome: She clearly responds best to a sweet, calm female voice and often forms her strongest bonds with ladies first.
Given her small size, she could be nervous around middle-sized and large-sized dogs and sudden unfamiliar loud noises (such as vacuum cleaner). She is NOT afraid of cars, busy traffic or loud children etc.
The Key to Her Heart: Loyale is naturally a very quiet companion and internalizes her nervousness rather than barking them out. When she’s nervous she’ll show her stress through body language, not barking. Her silence doesn’t mean she is not stressed. To win her love, always let her approach new dogs and unfamiliar noises at her own pace while you are close by with high quality treats and time. Offer praise for any small step forward she makes.
If you are looking for a gentle, quiet, work-from-home companion who will fill the space at your feet (and in your heart) with warmth and affection, Loyale is absolutely your perfect match.
