“Hello everyone! My name is Lou, aka Loufus, aka wiggly nubbins, aka baby Lou Lou. I’m a ~9 year old Australian Cattle Dog, and total love bug. I will be your shadow, your Velcro dog, and loyal companion.
I would’ve stayed in my current home forever, but lately my separation anxiety has manifested in me biting at my brother’s ears. My brother is now very old and immunocompromised, and this has made life really hard for the both of us. While I still love him, it’s clear that it would be best if I was in a situation where I could be the star of the show. I would be a great companion for someone who works from home, and loves to take breaks for short walks around the neighborhood. Despite my breed, I’m pretty low energy, and prefer snuggles in a sunbeam over long hikes.
I am gentle and good with very small children, and love all people, but need a home that is dog, and cat free.
I’ve worked with behaviorists on both my separation anxiety and leash reactivity, but all this time with my big brother has made learning these new habits a little challenging. I would love the opportunity to blossom with the right people as I head into my senior years.
