Who’s that cutie with the winning smile, lovely coat, and a hitch in his giddyup? That’s good boy Lonnie!
Lonnie is a very handsome charmer and social butterfly, who gets along well with everyone, human and canine alike! He has a bit of wonkiness in his back legs, but that doesn’t keep him from getting to where he wants to go: wherever pets are being offered!

Lonnie is a really good dog. Of the 5 fosters I’ve had so far, he’s the best behaved and cutest!
He LOVES fetch, long walks (despite his not-quite-working leg), pets, cuddles, and naps. He’s good about matching your energy – while I’m at work he just naps quietly at my feet. He is very good on car trips. Since he can’t walk right he prances EVERYWHERE and it’s SO CUTE.
He likes most dogs, but seems a little scared particularly of big dogs. I suspect he’d be ok living with another dog he’d gotten used to, especially if it’s a small dog.
He seems a little loopy sometimes – he gets lost sometimes trying to find where his toy was thrown, and he’s easily distracted, but it just comes off as really cute and it probably helps keep him out of trouble. He’s VERY polite about doors, and while he likes food not especially food-motivated.
