Meet Long John, a cannoli-bodied very good boy who has a lot on his To Do list: places to be, butts to sniff, people to meet. Long John is active, energetic, polite, house-trained, and so dashingly handsome! He loves taking long walks, and his sweet personality will have you both making friends with all the dogs and people you meet along the way.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Long Johns (aka “LJ”) is just the sweetest little fella around. He loves to nap, cuddle, go for car rides, go for long walks, sniff all the plants, and make new human friends wherever he goes. Whoever adopts him will never need long johns again, because LJ will keep you warm!
In the home he is perfectly house trained, he can go up and down stairs like a champ, and sleeps through the night. He is fine with meeting in a yard, or if the other dog is off leash and comes up to him, but when both dogs are on leash hereacts a bit. He is also quiet when new people come to the house, and he doesn;t really bark or make much noise.
He loves to ride in the car and will try to jump in any open car door he sees. He doesn’t seem to have separation anxiety, and will nap if left home alone. He does like to have a confined den like space to hang out in when alone, and would probably do well with a crate. His one quirk is if he is outside of a room you are in, he will breathe in and out very loudly at the door. So, don’t be surprised if there is suddenly a heavy breather outside your bathroom door!
LJ really is just a little love bug looking for a forever home with a warm lap to nap in, a few squeaky toys, and someone to walk with.
