Lombard’s big reveal came during his stay with the Good Samaritan who found him in a Costco parking lot. Recovering as an honored guest at her horse rescue, handsome Lom the Pom made himself right at home with cats, dogs, people, horses and, most of all, kids, who happily mobbed him on their group visits to the ranch. He arrived at Muttville ready for second helpings of everything – cuddles, treats, sniffs, pets and gentle TLC. Families, singletons, cowboys or cat herders: Come on down! He’s a perfect fit.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Lombard came home, immediately went potty outside and passed out in his bed. When he woke up, he happily chowed down his food and medication! He doesn’t seem too familiar with walking on a leash but he walks wherever you gently guide him. He didn’t seem to have any issues when we left him alone for a bit. He was sleeping in his bed when we got back. He gets random burst of energy where he trots all over house and explores for a few min until he finds a place to snooze!
Lombard truly feels like a teddy bear and makes great eye contact. We’re convinced that stuffed animals are modeled after his face and eyes! We’re always wondering what’s going on in his head but I think he’s slowly piecing together that he’s in a safe environment and he’s beginning to blossom! He gobbles up his food fast and loves treats! Lombard took a liking to my roommate and follows him around the house and outside! He hasn’t had one accident yet! When he has energy, he does the stairs like a pro!
He’s the cutest. He’s so good at signaling to go the bathroom and goes potty outside, he also walks great on a leash! He has yet to bark or make a sound. He loved going a on little walk an exploring different smells of coffee shops and restaurants. He’s comfortable with being carried now! He wakes up and wants all the pets! He follows us around to each room. I think he might be a little deaf but makes fantastic eye contact. He is friendly with every dog we have encountered. He usually just sleeps or chills in the room we’re in and seems completely fine being left alone! He sleeps through the night in his dog bed and wakes up when we wake up. He has the cutest little trot and pep in his step. He can handle a couple stairs just fine but anymore than 5. He is not a barker!
