Lewis is the most perfect mutt in the whole wide world!
Lewis looks like a miniature chocolate lab mixed with dachshund. He is a very special guy and his a wonderful personality. He is long and has kind of short legs. He is a beautiful chocolate color with amazing eyes and a killer smile! He is mellow and chill and super happy. He always has his little tail wagging and really loves to be with people. He is active enough for walks and also enjoys to snuggle up – the perfect mix. He is a staff favorite and will have you falling in love immediately. Lewis will make the perfect addition to any home. He is so wonderful and perfect!
Lewis is estimated to be 7 years young and weighs 22 lbs.
HERE’S WHAT HIS FOSTER HAS TO SAY!
Lewis is a calm, affectionate and happy guy! He loves people and attention. He loves to cuddle on my lap or just sit next to me while I pet him or scratch behind his ears. He naps quietly in his bed next to my desk while I’m working and will lift his head occasionally for a little pet.
He is a bit chunky (aren’t we all these days) but still has great energy and enjoys brisk walks. He will slow down to check out all of the new and different smells in the neighborhood.
Lewis eats pretty well. He may not eat much when you first put his food down, but will take a few bites and come back periodically to nosh. He will eventually empty his bowl. He takes his meds very well with pill pockets (one pill twice daily.)
He seems pretty well house trained. He had one potty incident in the house on his first night, but that can sometimes be expected. Since then he has been great about going outside. I’m trying to keep him on a routine.
Lewis seemed to do well with other dogs when he was at Muttville headquarters, although he may not be fond of larger dogs. I think he would be fine with a careful introduction. I have not seen him with children or cats.
I just know that Lewis will make whomever is lucky enough to adopt him very happy!
