Buried in curls of brown and white fur reminiscent of a chocolate layer cake, Layer resembles nothing so much as a miniature lycanthrope, albeit not on the day of a full moon – this gal is more of a curl up and nap doggo than a howl at the moon pup. Which is for the best, your neighbors will thank you. She’s a bit of a shy chi, so she finds the mounds of mutts at Muttville a little overstimulating, but she’s been perfectly pleasant during her intros to the other dogs and very sweet with our human volunteers. Layer would love nothing more than to find a forever home with a cozy nap spot and lots of treats and cuddles – do you feel you’re missing a Layer?
Here’s some notes from her foster:
Layer is definitely more comfortable now and is one hundred percent potty trained. She is walking well on her harness and likes to explore the areas near my apartment. She has been very friendly with all my friends she’s met at the apartment. Her appetite has been great. She let’s me know when she wants attention as I’m doing stuff inside the house and.
She mainly wants to be cuddled up in her bed or on blankets on my lap or next to me on the couch. She definitely doesn’t love being alone but will eventually calm down and naps in her bed. I definitely think it would be good for her to have someone who is around a lot given her loving and gentle personality.
