Laura Garcia is a tiny chocolate and butterscotch Yorkie whose round brown eyes and jumbo ears give strong puppy vibes. Her personality begs to differ. She may be youthful, but she wasn’t born yesterday. Found as a stray with an equally tiny pal, she is quietly confident and firm on her feet; also smart as a whip, big on treats and full of energy. She’s good with other dogs, 99.9 percent of whom are twice her size, and thoroughly enjoys a lap and a cuddle with gentle humans. Does her cuteness cause a mild and mostly pleasant form of hysteria? Here and there. Mostly cooing and all-caps texting. You’ll adjust.

Here’s some notes from her foster:

Laura is a tiny but mighty little lady who is surprisingly active and always ready to be part of the action! She loves a brisk walk and will happily follow you from room to room, keeping a close eye on whatever you’re doing. Whether you’re cooking, cleaning, or just moving around the house, Laura considers herself your official helper and loves to participate.

Laura is potty trained and is comfortable going outside as well as using potty pads indoors.

She’s affectionate, but she’s not necessarily a snuggle bear. Laura loves hanging out on the couch with her people, usually from her own little spot. She’ll come over to shower you with kisses when the mood strikes, then happily retreat back to her side of the couch to relax independently.

Laura’s perfect person is looking for a true partner in crime. She loves to walk and explore, and when those tiny legs get tired, she’ll happily hop into her bag and continue the adventure from there. She may be small, but she definitely doesn’t want to miss out!

And don’t let the fact that she has no teeth fool you — Laura has an amazing appetite and absolutely loves her food! She approaches mealtime with the same enthusiasm she brings to her adventures.

More than anything, Laura loves being included. She’s the kind of dog who wants to go through life alongside her person — whether that means a brisk walk around the neighborhood, helping with chores at home, relaxing together on the couch, or heading out on an adventure.
